The New & Improved Horseless Carriage

Events in auto, energy and environmental news are speeding ahead. These changes seem to take on a life and direction of their own. During the week of May 14, 2007, General Motors Corp., grabbed headlines in the Detroit newspapers with their announcement that they will be selling millions of fuel cell powered vehicles by 2012. I can recall when fuel cell technology was science fiction. It has now becoming reality. Technology does not seem to advance by moving from radical breakthrough to radical breakthrough. Technology grows by incremental changes. I imagine that the same type of growth happened 100 years ago when the first horseless carriage came on the scene. That is how the Fuel Cell Industry seems to be growing.
